A RESOLUTION setting a public hearing concerning the
proposed vacation of a portion of SW Sixth Avenue and a portion
of NW Sixth Avenue.
WHEREAS,the City has received a petition from Jesse and Teresa Schacher,Chris and
Beth Swanson,and Lyle and Cleta Miller to vacate a portion of NW Sixth Avenue bounded on
the west by the westbound off ramp of State Route 14 on the east by the west property line of the
SW Sixth Avenue right of way,and a portion of right of way bounded on the west by the State
Route 14 off ramp,on the north by NW Sixth Avenue,on the south by SW Sixth Avenue,and on
the east by the intersection of SW Sixth Avenue and NW Sixth Avenue (hereinafter referred to as
the “streets to be vacated”),and
WHEREAS,the Council of the City of Camas desires to initiate vacation proceedings for
the streets to be vacated,and
WHEREAS,it is necessary for the Council to fix a time and place for a public hearing to
be held on the proposed street vacation,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
Section I
The Council of the City of Camas does hereby initiate proceedings to vacate portions of
NW Sixth Avenue and SW Sixth Avenue as described in Exhibit “A”attached hereto and as
depicted in the map in Exhibit “B”attached hereto.
Section II
A public hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation of the streets to be vacated on the
28th day of February,2000,at 7 :00 p.m.in the Council Chambers of the City Hall.
Section III
The City Clerk is directed to give twenty (20)days notice of the hearing by posting
written notice in three of the most public places in the City of Camas,by posting a like notice on
the portion of the streets to be vacated,and by mailing notice to the abutting property owners at
least fifteen (15)days prior to the date of hearing.

Description of Property Proposed for Vacation
The subject property is the entire NW 6 Avenue right-of-way bounded on the west by the
westbound off-ramp of State Route 14 and on the east by the west property line of the SW
6th Avenue right-of-way and a that property situated between the NW 6th Avenue right-of-
i.LwayandtheSW6 Avenue right-of-way.
