ORD 2310 ORDINAN, CE NO , , . AN ORDINANCE amending Section 13 . 72 . 040 (b ) of the Camas Municipal Code b *T allowing a credit against sewer system development charges in an amount equal to the monthly sewer service charges paid by properties not connected to the City ' s sanitary sewer system . THE COUTNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : Section I Subsection 13 . 72 . 040 (b ) of the Camas Municipal Code is amended to provide as follows : 13 . 72 . 040 - CrediExemntions b . Credit . Those properties that are not presently connected to the City ' s sewer system but which have been assessed and paid a monthly sewer service charge shall receive a credit - against the sewer .,. system, development charge in an amount equal to the total monthlysewer service charges paid prior to * connection . Section II This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its public ition according to law . A new STEP tank was installed for the new apartments and , according to the Bldg . Dept . , this home is connected to it. It has City Sewer . 422 and 436 NW Greeley : Both of these homes have 1 " STEP services run to the property line . They will each require 1500 gal . STEP tanks installed . Sewer is available. ! ! ) ! NW 7th Ave : A sewer main runs adjacent to the southerly property line of this home about 12 feet from the P/ L . I can find no evidence of a sewer lateral being installed to the property . Nevin : Thank you for the opportunity to meet with you on providing sewer to you and possibly your neighbors homes . This letter is to provide you with information to install the sewer . Please review the following two connection options : Option 1 : • City to install sewer service from SE 11 th at cost of installation . • Owner to provide the following : installation of STEP tank , electrical connection , pump system , and tank conn.. ection . Owner or contractor to secure a plumbing permit and STEP tank installation permit from the IF IF Camas Building Department . I IF • Owner or contractor to secure electrical permit from Labor and Industries . I IF • Note that the sewer development charge will be waived if building permits are secured prior to August 1 , 2002 . • Sign Right of Entry Agreement for the City to maintain the tank and pump systems . Optionl : • City to design mainline system and service lines . • Owners to hire contractor to install main line per City plans . • Owners that obtain building permits or connect by August 1 , 2002 , will follow Option 1 conditions with the exception of # 1 . • Owners that do not obtain building permits by August 1 , 2002 , will pay the sewer development charge less any credit given for monthly charge paid to date . • An easement for the mainline sewer will need to be provided to the City . The City will draft the document . • Any owner that does not connect will :be subject to a penalty charge for not connecting to an available public sewer per ordinance 41874 : The charge for 2002 Will be $ 19 . 35 per month .
