AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a portion of North
East Everett Street
WHEREAS, by Resolution 25-013, adopted on the 20111 day of October 2025, the City
Council initiated proceedings to vacate a portion of North East Everett Street; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution set the I day of November 2025, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall of Camas, Washington, as the time and place for a public hearing on said
vacation; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution, the City Clerk caused notices to be posted and
mailed in accordance with the requirements of law; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place set for said hearing, the Council considered the testimony
of all persons commenting on said vacation; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the City owns all properties which abut such portion of
North East Everett Street and that the vacation of the public street is for a public purpose, to wit,
construction of the Fire Station 41 Facility; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section I
The following described area of North East Everett Street shall be, and the same is hereby
vacated: See Exhibits "A" and B.
Section III
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five (5) days from and after its publication
according to Jaw.

GAS PIPELINE EASEMENT IN GROSS
Grantors: CITY OF CAMAS, a Washington municipal corporation
Grantee: NORTHWEST NATURAL GAS COMP ANY, an Oregon Corporation
For the sum of one dollar and other valuable consideration, Grantor, CITY OF CAMAS, a
Washington municipal corporation, hereby grants and conveys to Grantee, NORTHWEST
NATURAL GAS COMPANY, an Oregon Corporation, and its successors and assigns, an
easement to install, operate, maintain, replace and change the size of a gas pipeline or pipelines
and related equipment in and upon that certain easement area described on Exhibit A and shown
on Exhibit B, both attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Grantee will install the pipeline with the least amount of disturbance to Grantors' property as
possible and will, to the extent practical, restore Grantors' property to the condition existing prior
to Grantee's construction. Grantee will reimburse Grantors for any damage to Grantors'
property caused by Grantee during its use of the easement.
Grantors agree that no buildings or other structures or potentially large growing trees will be
placed upon the easement and that no actions will be allowed that would jeopardize or interfere
with the safe operation of the pipeline.

The GRANTOR(S), CITY OF CAMAS, a Municipal Corporation for and in consideration of
mutual benefits hereby acknowledged, does grant and convey to PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
NO. 1 OF CLARK COUNTY, a municipal corporation of the state of Washington,
GRANTEE, its successors and assigns, including joint users, a non-exclusive, perpetual
easement and right of way together with the right of ingress and egress for the purpose of

therein an electric system, facilities and appurtenances including communication and service
conductors with surface-mounted transformer(s), and appurtenances necessary thereto,
together with the right and easement to tap into said facilities to serve adjacent and/or adjoining
lands, in, on, over, under and across the lands in Clark County, Washington, described as
follows:
A portion of CAMAS #1 LOT 1 BLK 26 and CAMAS LOT 8 & #2 LOT 1 BLK 26 in the
NE 114 of Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 3 East, of the Willamette Meridian,
APN 78140000 and 78198000, Clark County, Washington, more particularly
described and shown on the attached Exhibits "A" and "B", by this reference
made a part hereof.
Upon completion of installation of all facilities, THE EASEMENT HEREIN GRANTED SHALL
HAVE REASONABLE RIGHTS OF INGRESS AND EGRESS FOR THE PURPOSES ABOVE
STATED.

The Grantor covenants for itself successors and assigns that it will not build or place, or allow to
be built or placed, any structure of any kind over the easement granted herein without written
approval of Clark PUD, which shall not be unreasonably denied. PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
NO. 1 OF CLARK COUNTY has the right at all times to cut and/or trim all brush, trees or other
growth standing or growing upon the lands of the Grantor which, in the opinion of the Grantee,
constitute a menace or danger to said electric system facilities.
The Grantor also covenants to and with the Grantee that Grantor has the right and power to
convey an Easement and Right of Way over the tract of land described herein.
